Stop running and be still...

We run around looking for something better. All over the city; uptown and downtown; in the suburbs, or in the heart of the city, people are looking for something better.  A better home; a better relationship; a better job; a better church; a better friend; a better connection; a better doctor; a better form of transportation….looking for fulfillment, and looking for something better.  We move from this to that; changing our minds and our direction…and yet we find that we are still searching and still seeking.

What’s the problem? If we would stop running after people and things, then we could be still, and find what we are really looking for. If we seek God, then we find that everything we need is in Him. What He has for us is better than what we have, and more fulfilling than what we are searching for.

What is it that you want that is outside of God? What do you need that is outside of God? Whatever is outside of God, is outside of His will. And if we are outside of God’s will then nothing will work and we will never be complete.

So, today, decide to stop running after people,  places and things, looking for something better. Decide that you will be still and seek God; seek His will; seek His directions; seek His instructions; seek Him diligently and expectantly. You will find that what He has, is not only better, but it’s BEST.

Stop running and be still….

“Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” Isaiah 55:6

“Be still and know that I AM God…” Psalm 46:10

GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU!

Love somebody today who doesn’t love you; doesn’t care about you; won’t repay you, can’t repay you and doesn’t want to repay you…then you will be treating them the way God treated you…
