STOP, DROP, and PRAY!

I was talking to a good friend one day and she was sharing with me her concerns and fears about a situation. You know just wanting to vent her current feelings, which is something that we all do and can relate to. But while she talked and I listened, I began to hear God ministering to me about how often we get so caught up rehearsing our situations over and over to the point where the seeds of doubt that had been planted by the devil began to grow. I began to visualize how the more and more we talk about it and dwell there, the more we began to water and provide life to that plant of worry and doubt. If we are believing and trusting GOD to do something and we know in our hearts that he said that he will do it than that’s it. End of story, we can shout and praise him now!

Mark 11:22-24 (New King James Version)
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Of course the devil knows far better than us that GOD’s word is true, so it is his duty and his job to do whatever he can to steal that word away from you. Its his job to get you to start to begin to speak doubt because he knows that not only is GOD’s words powerful, but since we are made in his image, OUR words are powerful as well. The power of life and death lies in OUR OWN tongues. The devil’s job is to get us to stop quoting the word of GOD and to ultimately lose faith and give up on our promises. There is life and much power in the word of GOD.

Isaiah 55:11 (New Living Translation)
11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

When we speak God’s word we have to visualize it physically taking form and literally walking off into the earth and heavens to do what it says it does. If we can just grab a hold to hold powerful this thing is there would be no more room for doubt, no more room for worry but we would spend more time praising God for the victory. God is incapable of telling lies!!

Numbers 23:19 (New King James Version) 19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

If God said it, HE WILL BRING IT TO PAST!!!

Ok you may be saying, “Well that’s easier said than done. I am human and the thoughts that come into my head are real. One minute I’m doing ok and the next I’m feeling down again. What do I do then when I am feeling so discouraged? What do you expect for me to say then?” and I would reply and say that at that very moment you need to STOP, DROP, and PRAY!! Get right down on your face before God and worship Him. Notice that I didn’t say ask Him, beg Him, or plead with Him. That would be like an insult to Him because you should have already established that part when I spoke of you believing that He said He would do it. When you choose to worship God instead, you are reassuring yourself of the promise that He spoke to you and you are telling God that you still trust that He is capable and will do just what He said. That you realize what's going on, that the devil just came on the scene to steal your joy and to steal your faith. Don’t let the devil catch you off guard! Stop him right at the door and show him that he is not welcomed there. “Well how do I do that?” As soon as you start to look at those unpaid bills…STOP, DROP, and PRAY! As soon as you start to think about your children…STOP, DROP and PRAY!!! Before you respond to that unsaved spouse…STOP, DROP,and PRAY!!!!!!!! No matter what is going, no matter what the situation is, know that there is always a way of escape and you do have every chance to choose what you do next or how you respond. Choose to stop every vain thought that exalts itself against what God has already spoken to you. Instead began to give God the praise. Halleluiah!!

THANK YOU LORD FOR THE VICTORY! THANK YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE GOD! YOU ARE ALL POWERFUL! YOU ARE ALL KNOWING! THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR YOU TO DO. NO PROBLEM TO HARD FOR YOU TO SOLVE. WE CAST ALL OF OUR CARES ON YOU AND WE LEAVE THEM THERE, KNOWING THAT YOU ARE MORE THAN CAPABLE OF TURNING THINGS AROUND! FOR IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE YOU WITHOUT FAITH. WE WANT TO PLEASE YOU LORD AND WE WANT TO SERVE YOU WITH ALL OF OUR HEART AND WE CAN'T DO THAT IF WE ARE COMPLAINING. FORGIVE US GOD FOR INSULTING YOUR ABILITIES AND YOUR WONDROUS WORKING POWER. WE LOVE YOU TODAY, NOW AND FOREVER WE GIVE YOU ALL OF THE GLORY, WE GIVE YOU ALL OF THE PRAISE IN JESUS NAME…AMEN!
